Food Pantry Mission Statement

Our Mission here at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church Food Pantry is to assist in relieving poverty-related hunger in our community with the support of our partner, Mississippi Food Network we believe that no one should be hungry. We are committed to doing our part in this war on poverty and hunger as we follow the instructions outlined in: (Matthews 25:35) “For I was hungry and ye gave me meat, I was thirsty and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in.

Purpose
In carrying out our mission, our work revolves around a standard set of moral behavior and conduct which require commitment, trust, respect and accountability. Our statement of values includes the following principles:

We will treat every person with justice, compassion: Be impartial and far to all. We will act with honesty, trust, openness and deliver on all set commitments. We will strive to serve with excellence, fairness and responsiveness to meet the needs of those with whom we work. With much prayer and supplication that we serve efficiently and effectively the resources entrusted to us. We operate within the spirit of agreements within our contractual obligations with MFN; our intentions and actions will be above reproach.
